International Journal of Computational Bioinformatics and In Silico Modeling [Formerly, Journal of Bioinformatics and Research] is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal that focuses on research and review papers that provide novel insights on in silico modeling of all computational studies in the fields of biology, bioinformatics and cheminformatics, including informatics in medicine and pharmacy.
Among the topics considered by the journal are computational and statistical methods for the analysis of biological data, gene identification and annotation, analysis of heterogeneous information, data mining, integrative analysis, medical genomics, surveys, ontologies, protein networks, programming, software development, database design and translational research.
The journal is published online bi-monthly with one volume per year and the journal acts as a bridge to various interdisciplinary fields of bioinformatics, cheminformatics, medical informatics, and closely related fields of computers and biology, chemistry and drug design. The journal publsihes analyses involving SAR studies, new methods and approaches in computational bioinformatics and modeling proteins in silico and all aspects of drug design.
The journal welcomes manuscripts that meet the general criteria or scope of the journal and scientific excellence.
All articles published in the International Journal of Computational Bioinformatics and In Silico Modeling are freely accessible for everyone immediately upon publication without any user registration.
Peer review and Publication Time
All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Computational Bioinformatics and In Silico Modeling are subject to two-stage peer review process. The first stage is an editorial review followed by either single or double blind anonymous reviews (two or more). Every paper submitted to the journal is evaluated by at least 2 or 3 reviewers from outside of the scholarly institution affiliated with the author. Peer review and publication time: 3-4 weeks.
Corresponding authors retain the copyright of their manuscripts. All articles are distributed free-of-charge which permits unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
